The short version

Some posts on Recess After Work contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. I only recommend things I've actually tried, usually with my own three kids.

How it works

When I review or mention a specific product, that link may be an affiliate link through a program like Amazon Associates. If you buy through it, the retailer pays a small referral fee. Your price doesn't change either way.

(Once approved for Amazon Associates, add: "As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases." Amazon requires this exact phrase once you're enrolled, so hold off using it until your application is approved.)

Why this exists

This page exists so the disclosure is in place before affiliate links start appearing in posts, since it's required to be live before applying to programs like Amazon Associates. Once affiliate links start appearing, this page (and the inline note on those posts) will reflect exactly which programs are in use.

My review standard

I don't recommend anything I haven't actually used with my kids. If something didn't work, that shows up in the review too. Affiliate relationships never change my opinion of a product, they just mean that if you decide to buy something I already recommended, I might earn a small commission for pointing you to it.
